About Vector & Hue

Design, with intention.

Vector & Hue was founded on a simple idea: most digital experiences don't fail because they look bad — they fail because they lack structure, clarity, and purpose.

We focus on improving how users move through an experience — and how they feel while doing it.

The approach

Built around structure and feeling.

Vector & Hue is built on two principles.

Vector

Structure & Direction

Clear user flows, thoughtful hierarchy, and systems that guide behavior.

Hue

Perception & Emotion

Visual design that reinforces trust, clarity, and engagement.

Together, they create experiences that are not only well-designed — but effective.

Background

Enterprise experience. Independent focus.

Andrew Marshall, founder of Vector & Hue

I'm Andrew Marshall, a UX Design Lead with over 12 years of experience designing digital products and services.

My background includes work with national brands across a range of industries.

This experience shaped how I approach design today — balancing business goals, user needs, and scalable systems.

Personally

A bit more personally.

I've always been drawn to how things work — how people move through systems, where they get stuck, and what makes something feel intuitive versus frustrating.

Design, for me, isn't just about how something looks. It's about removing friction, creating clarity, and shaping experiences that feel effortless to use.

That mindset has carried through everything I've worked on — from large-scale enterprise platforms to smaller, focused projects — where the goal is always the same: make it make sense, and make it work well.

How I work

Clarity over complexity.

I don't approach projects as isolated design tasks. Every engagement is treated as part of a broader system.

Clarity over complexity

Make the experience easier to understand, navigate, and act on.

Function over decoration

Design choices should support usability, trust, and business goals.

Outcomes over deliverables

The goal is not just to create assets — it's to create progress.

Whether it's a website, product, or brand system, the goal is always the same: to create something that works — intuitively, consistently, and at scale.

Let's build something that works.

If you're looking to improve how your users move — and how they experience your product — I'd be glad to connect.
